Weekend Menu

Top shelf margaritas

Our weekend menu reflects the original menu concept of 10 years ago.  If you didn't already know, the first Taqueria was originally designed with the Hispanic consumer in mind.  Most of the offerings on the menu were tacos de lengua, tacos de tripa, menudo, tortas, mojarra frita, etc.  Most of these non-traditional items don't appeal to gringos.  However, over the years, our American guests are becoming more and more educuated about Mexican food.  Because of so many requests, we've added a weekend menu that reflects the core menu items of a real taqueria.  These items are not offered everyday because they are very labor intensive dishes.  Tamales take forever to make as well as caldos and mole. If I asked the lady in the kitchen to make these items everyday, she'd probably quit!

We hope you will join us on the weekend to check out our "old school" menu of traditional Mexican food.

How to Make Tamales

As you'll see in the video, making tamales is very labor-intensive!  If you ever wondered how they're made or you want to learn how to prepare them at home, this is a great video for beginners.

Good Luck!
